Get Your MIAM Signed Online

Need a MIAM certificate for your court application? At BookMIAM, we can sign your MIAM form online so you can proceed with your C100 or Form A application to the family court. No need to travel, no waiting lists, and appointments available 7 days a week.
A MIAM certificate confirms that you have attended a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting, which is a legal requirement before most family court applications in England and Wales. Your mediator signs the relevant section of your court form after the meeting.
What We Sign
- C100 form (Section 1): required for child arrangement order applications. Your mediator confirms you attended a MIAM and whether mediation was suitable.
- Form A: required for financial order applications after divorce. Your mediator signs the MIAM section before you can submit.
- FM1 form: the standalone MIAM certificate that can be attached to either application.
How to Get Your MIAM Certificate
- Book your MIAM online: choose a date and time that works for you. Appointments available Monday to Sunday, 9am to 10pm.
- Attend via video call: the MIAM takes 45 to 60 minutes. It is private and confidential, just you and your mediator.
- Receive your signed form: your mediator signs your C100, Form A, or FM1 form and sends it to you by email, usually within 1 to 2 working days.
How Quickly Can I Get a MIAM Certificate?
Standard appointments are usually available within a few days. Your signed certificate is sent by email within 1 to 2 working days of your MIAM.
If you have an urgent court deadline, contact us and we will do our best to arrange an appointment as soon as possible.
How Much Does a MIAM Certificate Cost?
The MIAM itself costs a fixed fee of £100 per person. The court certificate (C100, Form A, or FM1 signing) costs an additional £60. There are no hidden fees.
If you qualify for legal aid, the MIAM may be free. Your mediator will check your eligibility during the meeting.
How Long Is a MIAM Certificate Valid For?
A MIAM certificate is valid for four months from the date of the meeting. If you do not submit your court application within four months, you will need to attend another MIAM.
What If Mediation Is Not Suitable?
If your mediator assesses that mediation is not suitable for your situation, or if the other party refuses to attend, your mediator will still sign your court form. The certificate confirms that you attended the MIAM and that mediation was considered but was not appropriate. You can then proceed directly to court.
Do Both Parties Need a MIAM Certificate?
Only the person making the court application (the applicant) is required to attend a MIAM. However, if both parties agree to try mediation, the other party (respondent) will also need to attend their own separate MIAM.
If the other party refuses to attend, your mediator will note this on your certificate and you can proceed with your application.
When You Do Not Need a MIAM Certificate
There are certain situations where a MIAM is not required, including:
- Domestic abuse (with evidence such as a police report or protective injunction)
- Child protection concerns (local authority involvement)
- Urgency (risk to life, liberty, or physical safety)
- The other party is in prison
- Consent orders where both parties agree
If you are unsure whether you need a MIAM, book a free 15-minute chat and your mediator will assess your situation.
